On April 20th, 2015, Lenovo marked the official return of Motorola to the Bulgarian market with an exclusive launch event held at the National Museum of History in Sofia.
The evening celebrated not only the rebirth of an iconic brand but also the spirit of innovation that connects Motorola’s legendary past with its ambitious new future.

Under its refreshed MOTO identity, the brand introduced a new vision, modern design philosophy, and a clear ambition — to reclaim its position as a leader in mobile innovation.
More than 150 guests, partners, and media representatives attended the event, where they experienced the evolution of Motorola from its earliest milestones to its contemporary line of smart devices.

The highlight of the evening was a special exhibition tracing Motorola’s technological legacy — from its pioneering role in mobile communications to its impact on pop culture.
Visitors explored 15 emblematic devices, including the groundbreaking Motorola DynaTAC 8000x, the world’s first commercially available mobile phone, and the iconic Motorola RAZR, the best-selling flip phone in history with over 130 million units sold worldwide.
The exhibition offered a nostalgic look back at the trends of the ’80s and ’90s, blending fashion, design, and technology in a captivating retrospective experience.

Beyond the nostalgia, the event emphasized Motorola’s renewed direction under Lenovo’s leadership — a brand committed to design excellence, smart functionality, and innovation accessible to everyone.
Live demonstrations and product showcases revealed the new generation of MOTO smartphones, reaffirming the brand’s promise to “connect people through technology that matters.”
